NEWS… BUT NOT AS YOU KNOW IT
Shield your eyes from the star power, as everyone from Billie Eilish to Benedict Cumberbatch was in attendance at LACMA’s 10th annual Art+Film Gala in Los Angeles on Saturday night.
The swanky affair at the Los Angeles County Museum of Art celebrates influential figures across art and film, and this year’s honourees included iconic filmmaker Steven Spielberg, alongside artists Amy Sherland and Kehinde Wiley.
Predictably – and especially with Leonardo DiCaprio as a co-chair – the event was a star magnet as the rich and famous donned their glad rags for the evening.
Billie, 19, brought edgy goth glamour to the occasion in a black net Gucci top, ankle length black lace sequinned skirt and heels, with a faux fur coat and a glamorous red colour on her signature long nails.
Marvel and The Power of the Dog star Benedict Cumberbatch looked traditionally smart in a cream dinner jacket, black trousers and a black bowtie, and posed in contrast with House of Gucci actor Jared Leto, whose cream Gucci suit ensemble took in pink feathered sleeves and a translucent low-cut blouse underneath.
Musician Lil Nas X also went for a similar Gucci look, but his suit was a bright yellow jacquard one.
Hailey Bieber attended solo without husband Justin and looked elegant in a simple white floor-length gown, with statement gold bangles, her hair in an updo and a slick of dark lipstick.
Eternals star Salma Hayek, who attended with her husband, Kering chairman and CEO François-Henri Pinault, was gorgeous in a sequinned strapless gown in shades of purple and a statement silver and purple necklace.
Olivia Wilde also got the sequin memo in a striking long-sleeved black gown with a pink butterfly motif on the chest and a black velvet bow belt, while Anne Boleyn star Jodie Turner-Smith went for hot pink sequins and feathered sleeves.
Siblings Maggie and Jake Gyllenhaal also posed for photos together at the event, with Jake looking as fashionable as ever in a blue blazer, pink shirt and yellow velvet trousers.
The Lost Daughter director Maggie, who looked stylish and low-key in a loose black dress with batwing sleeves, also saw some of the stars of her movie in attendance too, with Dakota Johnson looking breath-taking in a plunging embellished crop top and blush coloured satin flared trousers, and Paul Mescal attending with his musician girlfriend Phoebe Bridgers.
Miley Cyrus drew attention with her head-to-toe Balenciaga look comprised of a matching floral print jacket and trouser-boots, as well as a small handbag, and accessorised with several chunky rings.
Maleficent and Catherine the Great actress Elle Fanning also looked amazing in a gothic outfit, comprised of a black underwear set under a sheer black dress with cutaways and a jewelled purple flower at her throat.
Socialite Paris Hilton, in a white tulle dress with spangled silver embellishments across her shoulders, arms and waist, put on a loved-up display with her fiancé Carter Reum ahead of their wedding on November 11.

Former Disney actress Dove Cameron wore a pink satin knee-length dress with a snake pattern and towering black and silver platform heels, while model Suki Waterhouse opted for a nude-coloured lace and Swarovski crystal gown, also with feathered sleeves.
Other stars in attendance included Will Ferrell, James Corden and Florence Welch, alongside Amazon founder and billionaire Jeff Bezos.
