For your essay on conflict theory in celebrity gossip, you must choose one piece of material to
analyze and answer three sets of questions. Discuss the central principles of each theoretical
perspective and how you can apply them to the story. Include examples from the stories to
illustrate your point. Also, determine if the theories contradict each other or overlap. To
support your points, attach a printout of the stories you have chosen to analyze. Then, write a
3 page essay answering the questions.
    Functionalism theory
What is the functionalism theory of celebrity gossip? This theory seeks to explain the complex
relationship between celebrities and the media. As it turns out, this relationship can be both
complex and positive. Celebrity gossip blogs are a perfect example of dysfunctional celebrity
gossip, since they both complement and exploit the lives of celebrities. Here are some ways
that celebrity gossip blogs may benefit both society and celebrities. Listed below are some
    possible answers to this question.
According to the theory of functionalism, culture exists to provide society with basic needs,
which are met by the different parts of a society. Functionalism believes that cultural norms
and values guide individuals in making decisions, which are necessary for society to work. In
the United States, education is a valuable concept. This emphasis on education is a
manifestation of a culture of education. In other words, education plays a vital role in society.
In addition to addressing the social issues caused by media, functionalism focuses on the
media’s role in society. People can write down a list of functions they think media perform in
our society. They might include the ability to find information on the web, the entertainment
value of television shows, or advertising and product placement. They can use any of these
functions to justify their value in society. These theories help to explain the role of media in
    society.
Celebrity gossip serves many purposes, including helping society maintain order and stability.
It also contributes to the notion of sacred and profane in society. These functions may be
manifest, latent, or both. People may derive different meanings from celebrity gossip, which in
turn shapes their lives. They may also be the victims of celebrity gossip. Therefore, it is
important to consider the role of celebrity gossip in our society. And as with any social activity,
there are many benefits and drawbacks.
    Marx’s legal theory
The use of Marx’s legal theory to dissect celebrity gossip is a modern example of how the law
can be used to further the political goals of a ruling class. In the first decade after the October
Revolution, Marxist legal theorists debated many issues. This article focuses on one issue: the
role of law in the exploitation of the exploited. The law aims to keep the exploiting class in
    check.
In the era of mass media, the idea of law is associated with the enigmatic experience of being
subject to oppression and inequality. A more radical approach to law would be to replace law
with a concept of regulating norms and organizing rules. This would bring the law into line with
the socialist and communist ideals of human society. And if the idea of law is indeed the goal
of a socialist society, then how does one apply it in celebrity gossip?
Although Marx is mostly known for his revolutionary theories, he also studied law while at
university. His three-volume work, Das Kapital, laid down the principles of Marxist theory of
capitalism and inspired a number of socialist movements around the world. He later organized
the workers in the International Working Men’s Association and the First International, and was
editor of a newspaper that was censored by the Prussian government.
Karl Marx was fanatical about finding empirical evidence to support his theories. He spent
hours studying data on industrial production and international trade to prove that his theories
were in line with reality. He even sat in the British Museum for hours, analyzing reports of

factory conditions. It was all part of Marx’s goal to put his theory on its feet. The result was the
birth of the Communist Party in 1917. And now, the Communist Party is alive and well.
    Marx’s influence on conflict theory
Conflict theory is a sociological concept that aims to explain the origins of human conflicts and
the way they are resolved. Marx, a German philosopher, economist, and social scientist,
argued that society is divided into two classes: the bourgeoisie and the proletariat. The
bourgeoisie, the upper class, possesses the greatest power. It is in this vein that Marx argued
for social change and equal access to all people. In doing so, he established the concept of
deviance and the idea of conflict.
Many social theorists have built on Marx’s work, and the modern theory of conflict emerged.
Antonio Gramsci argued that ideology had a stronger influence on human affairs than Marx
believed and that common sense could defeat cultural hegemony. In the twentieth century,
other social theorists, including Theodor Adorno and Max Horkheimer, have drawn upon Marx’s
work, focusing on the rise of mass culture, which contributes to cultural hegemony.
Another example of Marx’s influence on conflict theory in celebrity slander is the “Occupy”
movement, which was a protest against the richest 1% of society. Anti-austerity movements
have also become common in many parts of Europe. The classical phrase, “No one is above
the law,” is a widely used term today, and its origins are ancient. In fact, the phrase “No one is
above the law” dates back to Marx’s days.
Marx’s influence on critical race theory
Conservatives often criticize critical race theory as identity-based Marxism. In particular, they
say it promotes racism in our schools. To counter this, some activists point to the antecedent
of critical race theory, the critical legal studies, which draws on the writings of Michel Foucault
and Max Weber, as well as Karl Marx. But why is critical race theory being attacked so
    fiercely?
One of the founding scholars of critical race theory, Crenshaw, hosted a workshop in
Wisconsin in 1989. Critics of the movement believe that it reflects the realities of unequal
treatment of races. For example, Indigenous people in Canada have higher prison rates, lower
educational outcomes, and limited access to clean water. Black men in Toronto have lower
college attendance rates than white men. And, even in the United States, there are still racial
disparities in celebrity gossip, despite the presence of white celebrities.
The term “critical race theory” has become politicized, with critics claiming it is simply Marxist
ideology. However, there are no hard facts that support this claim. However, many people
disagree and see critical race theory as a fringe political movement. However, it’s important to
remember that the term is merely a label. While critical race theory can be helpful to some, it
is often used by critics as a general umbrella term.
Critic race theory is a branch of Marxism, but is not the same thing as Marxism. While some
critical race theory proponents share Marxist conviction, others encourage people to behave
as if their way of seeing the world is the only way to see the world. Indeed, there are still some
examples of structural racism, but not everywhere. But the fact is, the influence of Marxism on
critical race theory has become more pronounced in the popular press.
    Intersectionality
While Hollywood stars may seem oblivious to the discussion of intersectionality, they’re
actually reflecting the discussions taking place in progressive circles. In the late 1980s, when
actresses and musicians were releasing their gossip columns, they were reflecting a
conversation taking place within progressive circles. Now, intersectionality is a widely used
term in many fields, including politics, psychology, and human rights. It is also heavily used in
the field of anti-racism and anti-oppression/colonial-centred health equity.
Since the term has been gaining popularity among left-wing activists, it has become a
buzzword in public discourse. In fact, the word has even been included in the Oxford English
Dictionary since 2015. It’s a relatively recent concept that gained traction after the Women’s

March and the subsequent Trump inauguration, which marked the first time a woman-led
protest was held. In turn, intersectionality gained in popularity among celebrities and was used
in the first public discussion of feminism.
As we continue to read celebrity gossip in mainstream media, we are reminded of the power
relations that exist within and between social categories. We must also acknowledge that
some people benefit from more privileges than others. The term intersectionality applies to
both social classes as well as categories like gender, race, and social class. In other words, it
is about standing up for each other. In this way, we can begin to understand the power
relations within and between these categories.
Another example of the power of intersectionality can be found in the infamous sexual
harassment case involving Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas. In that case, Hill’s
experience was framed through her intersectionality. By applying the concepts of gender, race,
and class, she viewed the entire experience as one that would bring hope. In addition, the
term has become an enduring part of identity discussions, including those in the media.
